A 150-ton crane puts serious load on every track pad with each step. On hard ground or rock, a shoe cast from the wrong steel grade or with uneven hardness depth will crack at the bolt holes within a few months — and replacing individual pads mid-project on a heavy lift crane is neither cheap nor quick. Below is the full process we run on every batch.
Manufacturing Process
|
We use 35SiMn or 28CrMnMo alloy steel — the outer surface comes out hard enough to resist ground abrasion, while the core stays tough enough to take impact without cracking. The two-stage quenching process (Steps 4 and 6) is where hardness depth gets locked in. Skip one of those steps and you get a pad that looks fine on the surface but fails early under load.
The track pins and track links that connect each shoe into the chain are machined to a tight fit — loose pins are one of the most common causes of accelerated undercarriage wear on high-hour machines. We check pin hole tolerance at the mechanical testing stage before final quenching.
Before anything ships, we check your serial number and confirm the pitch and shoe count. The SCX1500-3 takes 55 pcs per side, 110 total — wrong count on a 150-ton machine means your crane sits idle while you wait for the missing shoes.

If you're sourcing more than just the track shoes, here's the full undercarriage breakdown for the SCX1500-3. We stock or manufacture all five undercarriage components — order them individually or as a complete crawler undercarriage system package.
Drive Sprockets Cast steel, heat treated. 1 pc per side frame. Bolt-coupled to a 3-stage planetary reduction gear unit — integral part of the shoe-in type traction motor. Floating seal between rotating and non-rotating motor parts. |
Track Rollers (Bottom Rollers) 11 pcs per side frame. Double flange, heat treated cast steel. Each roller runs on two bronze bushings with floating seals for lifetime lubrication. |
Carrier Rollers (Top Rollers) 3 pcs per side frame. Double flange, heat treated cast steel. Same bronze bushing and floating seal design as the bottom rollers — supports the track link chain on the return side. |
Track Shoes / Crawler Track Pads — SCX1500-3 Heat treated, self-cleaning, multiple-hinged design. Each pad joins the track link chain via full floating track pins — the pin-to-bushing fit is machined tight to slow down chain elongation and reduce undercarriage wear rate. |
Sales Team We reply on WhatsApp within 2 hours during business hours. Send your machine model and serial number — we'll come back with the right part number and a price, not a generic catalogue. | Technical Team Our engineers have been working on crawler crane undercarriage components for over 20 years. Not sure whether a part fits your machine? Ask before ordering — wrong parts on a 150-ton crane cost more than the part itself. | Quality Control Every batch goes through chemical composition analysis, Brinell hardness testing, and tempering depth measurement. Any piece that falls outside spec gets pulled before packing — not after it arrives on site. |

Track shoes ship on heavy-duty export pallets — pads stacked flat, strapped tight, anti-rust treated before wrapping. Each pallet is sized to load directly into a standard container. Full export documentation — packing list, commercial invoice, and certificate of origin — comes with every order.
We manufacture undercarriage wear parts — crane track shoes, crawler track pads, bottom rollers, top rollers, idlers, and drive sprockets — for the full Hitachi Sumitomo SCX range. If your model is on this list, we have the part.

Can you supply a complete undercarriage set for the SCX1500?We can. A full crawler undercarriage system covers idler wheels, bottom rollers, top rollers, drive sprockets, and the crane track shoes — all made to fit the SCX1500 / SCX1500-2 / SCX1500-3. Most customers order the full set during a major overhaul since the freight cost per piece drops significantly when everything ships together. Send your serial number and we'll put together a complete quote. |
Do you ship crane undercarriage parts to Indonesia? We ship regularly to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Parts leave from Quanzhou on export pallets with full documentation. Transit to most Indonesian ports runs 7–14 days depending on the forwarder. If you're working to a deadline, let us know — we'll check the fastest available routing before confirming. |
Can we use our own shipping agent? No problem — send us your forwarder's details and we'll coordinate directly with them on pickup and documentation. If you don't have one yet, we work with several freight forwarders on Southeast Asia routes and can share their contacts so you can compare rates yourself. |
